About
Hotstart's engine heating products began in 1942 with an electric heater for school buses developed by Wayne Kimberlin, who partnered with Stanley Power to make and sell the Kim Hotstart. Power purchased the company in 1944 and renamed it Kim Hotstart Company; it moved to Spokane in 1945 and to its current 142,000 sq ft facility in 1978. The company rebranded as HOTSTART in 2009, has around 200 employees and is ISO 9001:2015 registered.
