About

Evans Capacitor Company was founded in 1996 in East Providence, Rhode Island, by Dave Evans and Charlie Dewey, and developed EVANSCAPS hybrid capacitors combining tantalum and ruthenium oxide. Arcline Investment Management acquired Evans in 2020, after which it went to market as Quantic Evans; in 2022 Arcline acquired Tantalum Pellet Company in Phoenix, Arizona, which became a second Evans satellite site.

On January 1, 2026, Evans Group launched as a single customer-facing umbrella for Evans, Paktron, UTC and Eulex, brands previously aligned under Quantic. Paktron traces its roots to the 1950s, with the Paktron name dating from 1960. UTC manufactures in a DLA MIL-PRF-790-approved facility in Monterey Park, California.
