Everllence Two-Stroke Diesel to Dual-Fuel Conversion
Conversion of existing two-stroke diesel main engines to dual-fuel operation on LNG, ethane, LPG or methanol, including engine modifications, fuel gas supply system and bunker tank integration.
Description
Everllence dual-fuel conversion converts existing two-stroke diesel engines into dual-fuel engines that can switch between diesel and gas. Using LNG, ethane, LPG or methanol reduces SOx, NOx, CO2 and particulate emissions.
Project scope
- Engine conversion: rebuilding engine parts to install a gas safety system and fuel injection system, including new cylinder covers and fuel oil pipes, gas injection valves, gas control blocks and gas chain pipes; further changes determined by a detailed engine study
- Fuel Gas Supply System (FGSS) for LNG: together with a Gas Valve Train (GVT), pressurizes and vaporizes LNG to 300 bar and 45°C for injection; includes the Everllence Pump and Vaporizer Unit (PVU) linked to the main engine control system
- Bunker tanks: required if the vessel does not already carry gas as cargo
