Superbolt Component
Superbolt Flexnuts
Reactive nuts applied opposite Superbolt tensioners that distribute load along the threads and increase bolt fatigue life.
Description
Superbolt developed the Flexnut for through-hole applications, bringing MJT-type elasticity to the reactive side of the joint. Flexnuts flex out at the bottom and in toward the top of the nut, distributing bolt load along many threads, adding elasticity and preventing stress concentrations in the first few threads, which increases the fatigue life of the bolt or stud. They are applied opposite Superbolt tensioners and are never torqued directly to achieve preload.
