Munson Boats Equipment

Munson 23′ Series

Model 23′ Series (model numbers 23-xx)

Compact 23 ft welded aluminum landing craft with 1/4" hull plating and 1/4" beaching plates, used for fire, rescue, dive, patrol and utility work.

Description

The Munson 23′ Series is the smallest model in Munson's standardized landing craft line. Hulls use all 1/4" aluminum plating, with an additional 1/4" beaching plate for a full 1/2" of aluminum where the vessel meets the shore. The landing craft layout gives more usable deck space than a conventional 23 ft boat, for ATVs, dive gear, oil boom and other cargo. Built examples include the 23-39 Fire (PackMan, twin Mercury 150 hp outboards, 42 mph light ship, 64" bow door) for the Burnsville Fire Department, and the 23-38 Patrol (Honda 250 hp, 41 mph) for California Dept. of Fish & Wildlife. Offered in PackMan mono hull and PackCat catamaran versions.
