MJP 280 X Waterjet
MJP 280 X: high-speed mixed-flow waterjet from the MJP X-Series for vessels of 12–26 m, with duplex stainless steel pump, cast aluminium intake and reversing bucket, up to 611 kW and speeds over 50 knots.
Description
The MJP 280 X is the smallest model in Marine Jet Power's X-Series of high-speed mixed-flow waterjets. Built around a duplex stainless steel mixed-flow pump, the X-Series is designed for speeds in excess of 50 knots, combining low weight, efficiency and corrosion resistance.

- Mixed-flow duplex stainless steel pump (the pump design has more than 18 million running hours)
- Hydrodynamically designed steering fin for responsiveness and steering efficiency
- Cast aluminium reversing bucket for shorter stopping distance and better manoeuvrability; narrow design reduces centre-to-centre spacing in multi-jet installations
- Interceptor integration: interceptor placement maximises stagnation pressure under the hull for extra lift; additional interceptors can be fitted on either side of the jet
- Optimised intake geometry for performance across the full speed range without compromising top speed
- All-inboard integrated hydraulic system with separated water and oil seals, eliminating external oil spill risk and compliant with clean-water regulatory requirements
