Nav Cam with V-LOC Visual Localization
Pre-calibrated target-tracking camera with V-LOC software, which computes asset-relative position, heading and attitude from open-source tags; 3 mm / 0.3° typical accuracy at 3 m.
Description
Nav Cam is a pre-calibrated camera for target tracking supplied with Forssea's proprietary V-LOC visual localization software. V-LOC calculates the relative coordinates of assets from open-source tags affixed to them, and a web user screen provides real-time tracking and integration with third-party equipment. Nav Cams are available for sale and rental.
Key features
- Relative marker heading and attitude calculation; camera heading, pitch and yaw derived from the ROV gyro
- Yard DIMCON used to determine relative positions between structure and marker
- Typical system accuracy of 3 mm and 0.3° at 3 m ROV flying distance
- Compatible with survey and navigation suites
Applications
- Structure tracking: descent and landing of monopiles, Xmas trees or BOPs; monopile inclination monitoring
- Docking: ROV visual docking in a garage or TMS, AUV docking in a resident station, AUV recovery
- IMR: asset or valve identification, PLET/FLET buckling or walking monitoring, resident vehicle position updates against GIS and digital twin
- Navigation: INS position updates for resident vehicles
