About

Thames Shipyard & Repair has served the marine industry for over 100 years. In 1967 John H. Wronowski purchased the business after managing it for over a decade, and it has since been owned and run by the Wronowski family; today John P. Wronowski is owner and president, with his son Adam as vice president.

The North Yard holds both drydocks, a 12,000 sq ft machine and fabrication shop, mechanics', electrical and carpenters' shops and a facility barge. The South Yard houses engineering offices with CAD stations and a 20,000 sq ft fabrication and assembly building. The yard has 1,200 feet of pier space with 15+ feet of water at MLLW, and a MARAD grant secured in 2010 is funding the lengthening and widening of drydock No. 2.
