SKF Solution Factory - Marine Services

SKF Solution Factory - Marine Services, formerly Machine Support, has operated for over 30 years. It began by providing machinery grouting services for the shipbuilding industry, specialised in laser alignment services and developed and patented the SKF Vibracon SM chock. Around 1992 it expanded into other industries.

The company obtained ISO 9001 certification in 1997, set up subsidiaries in Germany (1996) and the USA (1999), and was acquired by SKF AB in 2000. In 2003 it introduced the SKF Vibracon SM Low Profile for the repair market, and later added on-site machining, 3D measurements and the ShaftDesigner software. It is ISO9001:2008 certified.
